Fifty Shades of Grey

These rubber stamps have been so adaptable to so many
projects that ive done in the past.

This week Ive been reading, Ive not read much in the way of books for years, but last week decided
to buy myself a Kindle.

I love it, dont know why I havent bought myself
one long before now.
Saying that it may have something to do with the books
ive been reading on it , that might be whats got my attention.

The Grey triology..........the books that have everyone hooked,
and every woman I know whose read them just cant put them down.

Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Freed
have to be the best books Ive read in a long time.

Already Im worrying what Im going to read when i come to the end of the last book.
I think I will re read them.
Never have I read a whole book in less than 20 hours.
Although I dont need a book mark for my Kindle
Ive made these for friends, and one to tuck inside the cover of
my kindle just so I dont miss out.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend , inbetween working I will be reading..........

I would also like to enter this into the challenge
Thanks for stopping by.

Scrapbook Garden Design Kit - The Dream Of An Inky Life

This is my 2nd layout from this months Design Kit for

Im so used to doing vintage layouts I wanted to try something
using a current photo.

My daughter recently had some photos taken which I thought
were fab and I decided to use one for this project.

I cut out the centre piece leaving what made a great frame
on a piece of black cardstock.
Black is a perfect colour for Hannah she loves all things
dark and gothic.
Hannah wants to be a Tattoo Artist and it was that which
inspired this layout.
The detail on the border was beautiful

I used some Personal Impressions Canvas cloth to stamp
out some butterflies

Next I added a film strip die cut to the side of the layout
as it was my intention to add photographs of Hannahs own tattoos.

I added this years date into the gaps in the film strip

Added my photo

I printed out a tattoo image onto the canvas cloth
by putting it through my printer.
Its the first time ive used this cloth but i was over the moon with
the clear image i ended up with . It was so easy to use
and the quality superb.
I cut out the tattoo and added it to the top

and bottom corners of the layout.

Using the American D.I.Y. Thickers- Macaw
I inked them with  Red inkpad to give a nice contrast to the black

Using small images of Hannahs actual tattoos
I matted them on cream cardstock
and positioned them on the black background.

Using a gold dabber I inked a piece of grungeboard
in the shape of a skull to fit in with the various skulls
on Hannahs tattoos

And added it to the layout.

That completes my layout .

Scrapbook Garden Design Kit - Grandma Green

This is the first of two layouts for the Scrapbook Garden
Design Kit for this month.

I thought the colours would be perfect for this particular photo
of Grandma Green.

Starting with the 12 x 12 in Bazzill Haley Cardstock,
I cut out the shaped panel using a large template.

I added it to the Bazzill Vanilla Cream 12 x 12

Next I gutted the papers so that I could use the pieces
for other things

Next I added an 8 ½ x 8 ½ panel cut from the centre of a 12 x 12 sheet of GlitzDesign French Kiss Fleur. (Keeping the outer border for another project)
The addition of some black lace edging cut from a Tim Holtz alterations die finished off the edges of the Glitz Design French Kiss Fleur

I added the title of Grandma Green using American Crafts: DIY Thickers –Macaw for the ‘Grandma’ which I inked down with the Memento Dew Drop Ink Pad in Rich Cocoa

I added 7 ½ x 7 ½ panel in Glitz Design: French Kiss - Floral  to which I wrapped around some Bazzill Tulle - Truffle  and tied it at the right hand side in a knot

The addition of a large flower to the bottom left and two smaller flowers top right were cut from the Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, using the Glitz Design French Kiss both back and front and some Personal Impressions Canvas Cloth (reverse side)  and edged all the petals using the Memento Dew Drop Ink Pad – Rich Cocoa to give some depth to the petals.
the ‘Green’ was cut from the Tim Holtz Market Place die Alphabet using the Black to match in with the Lace Edging border.
Next I attached the picture and the journaling which was matt on both the Bazzill Haley Cardstock  and the Bazzill Vanilla Cream

Thats everything for this layout.
Thanks for stopping by my blog as always its much appriciated .
