Design Kit - Layout 2 Scrapbook Garden

Finally I managed to use another browser which has enabled me to upload my pictures

This is the 2nd layout for this months design kit
and the technique is paint dabbers.

Once again on this layout also I used the dabber for
2 examples of its use.
The first was to paint up a rubber stamp with the dabber and stamp the image onto a tag.

White on white didn't show up that well you can vaguely see the stamped image

I used a heat gun to set the paint

Then using a selection of distress inks I completely covered the tag
and also the stamped image

Then i spritzed some kitchen towel with cold water

and gently rubbed the ink away from the stamped image
the ink doesnt stick to the paint so its easily wiped away
revealing the image below

Even after wiping the ink off you can go back many times and
add more colour and keep wiping until you get the desired colour

Next I ran some of the green cardstock through the cuttlebug
and embossed the Bingo image onto it
Using the paint dabber and gently brushing over
the embossed image the paint attaches to the raised area

Giving a distressed finish to the embossing

Starting with the 12 x 12 I layered the tag

photo image matted on the green cardstock and also the
for the record borders paper

then the embossed image and the bingo
image from the borders paper also

adding a wooden button to look like a bingo chip

with some white 12 x 12 cardstock i cut a series of triangles
and added them to the layout

highlighting the corner ones with some borders
triangles also
I then cut my Win Win title from the green
card to finish off the layout

Thanks for popping by my blog and for leaving a comment as always its much appriciated

Design Kit - Scrapbook Garden Jan 2013

After no internet for 10 weeks Ive come back to find blogger
doesnt seem to want to upload pictures.
Having to upload in HMTL and flick back and forth between
that and Compose it seems to have reached its limit at
5 pictures for which I can only apologise.

This is my layout for this months design kit for

The technique this month was to use a paint dabber
and show some of the effects you can use it for.
Ive used 2 on this layout, stencilling using a mask
and also dabbing chipboard shapes to cover them with the paint.

Starting with the Blue base 12 x 12 I used the Snow Cap dabber and the clock stencil to stencil the image onto the bottom corner of the paper.

Next I used some chipboard clock hands which I coloured
with the snow cap dabber and added them to the clock face

I cut a strip from the ‘For the Record’ paper ‘Borders and matt it onto white cardstock
Next cut a strip of white cardstock slightly smaller to which I added a time quote and some rubber stamped images relating to the theme, matting the quote onto the borders paper also to make it stand out.

I then cut more clocks from the borders paper and matt those on the white too.
Added my photo which was also matt onto the white card and also my title cut from the white.
Once again I apologise for the lack of images to show the other stages of
the layout.
Pop over to the Scrapbook Gardens online store
and check out the bargains and new lines which have
recently been added.
Thanks for stopping by my blog its much appriciated

Scrapbook Garden Design Kit - Dad

This is my 2nd layout for this months desgn kit
for the Scrapbook Garden using the

Beginning with some Bazzill cardstock in
Tawny light I punched some holes going in opposite
directions to each other and threaded them with
two different kinds of twine from the Vintage Finds Trim pack

Next using some Ribbon from the same
Vintage Finds Trims pack I inked it with some

Cutting two panels from Vintage Finds Flowers
and Bazzill Walnut Cream
punching a series of holes in both pieces on
the opposite sides to each other

and then lacing them together with the

I also cut two smaller pieces from the same card
and rounded all the corners to soften them

Once the two larger pieces were laced together
I added them to the 12 x 12 and fastened the smaller
pieces on either side , using the reverse of each pattern

I cut 5 tags , 3 large ones from the Walnut cream cardstock
which I stamped with the Rich Cocoa ink and
2 smaller ones cut from the Vintage finds Flowers paper
I inked all of the edges with the rich cocoa to age them

I threaded them all onto some of the twine
fastening them down to ensure they all stayed facing forward
and punched 2 holes in the bottom corners of the two
smaller pieces of card , passing the twin to the back of the page
and securing it in place.
I added the photo without further matting as it was an original
and I didnt want to alter it in anyway and the journaling
to the side of it.
Lastly attached my title which was actually the date
which had been stamped on the reverse of the photo
of my Dad wearing his demob coat.

Thanks again for stopping by and for leaving a comment as
always its much appriciated .
Ive enjoyed working with these lovely papers
pop over to the online shop and check them out

Hope you all have a lovely week its chilly now
but Autumn is my favourite season :-)

Scrapbook Garden Design Kit - Its Spooky

This layout is from Octobers design kit for the
Scrapbook Garden using the Teresa Collins papers.

Beginning with the Vintage Clocks patterned paper
I marked off a set of holes over two opposite corners
one at the top and one at the bottom.

Next I punched out some holes

Then threaded some twine through the holes
from the Vintage Finds Trims pack

Choosing my photo which I mat on
Bazzill Cardstock in Coal , i tore away the
bottom edge to leave a raggy finish

I punched a series of holes beneath the photo
to thread through some of the same twine.

Using the Bazzill Coal Cardstock I cut out my title
and some lace edging

which I placed at the top and bottom within
the threaded twine corners

The image was then mat again onto some
I die cut some spiders and bats from the Coal
cardstock and cut a slither of card to act as though the
spider was hanging from the lace

added the bats to the Cheddar cardstock

And that was my layout finished.

Although the image is one from my vintage
family collection unfortunately we have no idea
which branch of the family they are from, or sadly what their
names are.
Whenever ive looked at this picture its always made me think of Vampires
Wonder if they were? Wonder if theres a Spooky side to my family?
Mind you first thing in the morning I look quite
deadly before the make up goes on.........

Maybe best to leave that there lol

Pop over to the Scrapbook Garden and check out all the fab offers in the shop
dont be missing out on all the bargains and the gorgeous papers etc
that Ann has in stock.

Thanks for stopping by my blog as always its much appreciated
