Alter it

This is my entry for ABAA alter a blank and also The Lots to do Challenge alter it.

I chose a blank bottle box, the smallest of a set of 3. I used 4 different distress inks to ink the box , then used the Tim Holtz clock masks and used a dark distress ink to stencil the clocks and cogs.
I stamped Mona and Frida onto velum and then added them to the box so that the clock and cog images showed through the velum to give it a layered effect.

Then i added the quote, "Time waits for no man" on the side. ( I should have used men stamps and not women)

Im not sure what at all I will use it for but im sure it will come in for something.

Thanks for visiting my blog.

Love what you've done with this Jaqi - you've used some brilliant techniques and I love the way you can see through the vellum. Great to have you with us again.

Oooo Jaqi ~ you certainly transformed a common item into something fabulous. Frida and Mona two of my favorite ladies! Brilliant stamping them on vellum! It will make a great holder for something special.
P.S. The husband sign in the background made me giggle :)

Jaqi, I love this altered can. I've just stopped by to admire your recent work. I received my pink crow series and LOVE them. I'm looking for a way to display them attractively. I'd like to use them as a wall decoration somehow.
Now, with my current confusion going on, I just need to remind myself of our trade. Do I need to make you some special ones or what? I cannot remember.
Email me?

This is brilliant , i love it !
