Sadly this is the final week of the challenges for Just For Fun
and this week its 'Distress Him'
Ive used an image of my Dad and his brother with a friend , it was taken just after the war.
My Mam tells me they had been out drinking, and everytime they went out drinking they ended
up in a studio getting a photo taken.
they must have needed dutch courage lol.
I chose the title 'Back in Time' which i felt suited it well.
I used my Tim Holtz mask and some fob watch rubber stamps and images
I used my distress ink to stamp this tag and fastened it
to the front of a tag holder
I used my Dads old typewriter to do the text and used my old paper
ditress ink to weather down the white paper.
I added some text with their names and again inked the whiteness
of the paper down with old paper distress ink.
I love doing pages about my Dad , but am slowly running out of photos.
You think you have alot of some people until the sad time comes when you cant take any new ones, then you realise you will never have enough of them.
I will miss doing this challenge , as from April I am working alot more than I have been doing
but Im sure i will still see some of you around on other blogs.
Take care all of you , and be happy.
Thanks for being a visitor to my blog and for the comments you have left .
Pop back from time to time to say Hello.
Good Luck to all the ladies at Just For Fun in whatever they do , they will be missed im sure .
Have a nice weekend everyone

This is fantastic! Love how you used t!m's journaling tags ... and that terrific photo of your Dad!
Thank you Jaqi for your final contribution to Just for Fun, seems an odd place to end up after drinking lol but then you won't have the photos to create with :)
Thank you for being such a great follower and will keep in touch :)

Love the typed effect on this Jaqi. You are so lucky to have so many family photographs to scrap with. Ann x
Don't know what to say Jaqi after that tribute to JFf but I feel I can take little of the credit you gave because my stay on there was so short.
Hope we can stay in touch and also that we see one another at the shows (hint hint for you to come and say "hi" again).
Your LO's have always been a source of great joy, it has been a pleasure to share the happiness the old photographs have given to you and I hope that you will keep blogging them for us.
This latest one of your dad and the story behind it is lovely, I like the way you have used his old typewriter to make up the words and the way you have actually placed all the variuos elements is beautiful.
Hoping we can meet up again (soon) - Hugs, Neet xx
You are so lucky Jaqi, to have all the photo's you have of family. It's a great layout, love how you've used the clocks......
what a great image of your dad and what a brilliant layout. This is superb Jaqi. I hope all is good with you and that your weekend is going well
hugs June x

see you soon

This is another wonderful page Jaqi. There are so many worse places your Dad, his friend and brother could have gone after a night in the bar. Luckily for us the photographer proved very alluring to them. I know your Dad is your hero but you have made some of your very best pages honouring him. Thank you for sharing this and so many other wonderful projects with us at Just for Fun XOXO Zoe
Love your scrapbook page Jacqui, the phot's of your dad combine so beautifully. Ann xx
Jaqi...all your scrapbooking pages are so wonderful and precious! Love the way you used the typewriter.
Special stuff!

Sorry, I have tried about ten times to leave a comment on your blog but it just will not accept it. So here it is.....
Hi Jaqi. Wow! fabulous page. Love the background and how you have added the names. Great idea. The stairs have gone off your blog! Have a lovely weekend.

Hi Jaqi this is a gorgeous LO you really do the most lovely pages. The album will be a treasure to pass on. Hugs Sandra XX
Thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comment on my mini book - very kind of you. It's a lovely photo of your Dad and I know just what you mean about realising you don't have enough photos until the time is gone. When I was younger and out with my mates we would quite often end up in one of those photo booths - have loads of those.
Another fabulous photo and layout Jaqi, the typewritten snippets finish it off perfectly. xx
