When I first started Scrapbooking one of the things I did
was to frame some layouts and use them as pictures .
Since then, as my style has changed ive taken down the pictures
and filled the frames with new layouts.
That gave me the idea that it may be nice to make one for a gift.
As my best friend adores anything Moulin Rouge , it was with
that in mind that I made this picture.
I started by using some Paris themed papers and added some stamped images
and feathers along with a photograph taken of the outside
of the actual Moulin Rouge itself.
The peacock feathers and dyed ostrich feathers made a
perfect base to build on.
My Paris date stamp
My partygirl in a cocktail glass
Some champagne and glasses
My Ooh La La title which I cut from
cerise mirror card which matched the dyed ostrich feathers
And the party Gent
Some Burlesque dancers stamped in a kaleidoscope
ink pad with stickles added to give the image some sparkle
The photo and an Eiffel Tower
More champagne
and the addition of the word Paris........
And that was the layout complete.
I covered the mount for the frame with some music
tissue paper from Tim Holtz
I used a gold frame to give it a more opulent feel
I would like to include this into the Vintage Artisans challenge
Thanks for stopping by my blog its much appriciated .
Hope you all have a lovely weekend
