Soul Armour

My Soul Armour if finished, I found it quite hard to express feelings, although when finished i notice it is very different expressions to what others have used.
If it be right or wrong its done now, it means something to me so I suppose in the long run thats what matters.

Soul Journal

As usual Im way behind everyone else, but I did promise myself that I would start my Soul Journal once I finished work.
I have added the text torn from an old book of poems, wrote over the text with a marker and then sponged various shade of pink and purple over the top of the then gesso'd pages. Its ready to add my Soul Armour colours and my name etc.

Richard Burton and Liz Taylor

In answer to Chriss's question about Richard and Liz in my bedroom this is the picture I was talking about. Its on my bedside table, so its one of the first things I see when I wake.
Just further along is an old fashioned trunk, its like a pirates treasure chest, I love it. On top of there I have an old wooden box, as I have mentioned before my grandfather was an undertaker and this is the wooden box he used to keep his embalming tools in. The tools have long gone, but years ago I altered this box ( long before I even knew about altering items) I lined it with dark red velvet and trimmed it with lace around the lid. I use it to keep a collection of very old lace handkerchieifs in, most of which belonged to an old aunt and my grandmother. I also have a small collection of old brooches on the lid. Next to the box theres some old evening bags and a small lace parasol. Im adore old things as you can see.

Glimmer mists

I bought some Glimmer mists and I think there must be an art to spraying them as most of the time they spray out quite runny , on this occassion it sprayed quite watery and it ended up running all over the card.
Leaving it to one side I imagined it would end up in the bin, anyway after a while when it had dried i decided to play with it and with a few additions i came up with this. After all the trouble I was quite happy with it in the finish.
Its already been sent to someone so its not for trade but I just wanted to show it anyway.

Awfully Big Art Adventure Challenge

Unable to get out of Elvis mode, this is my entry for Linda and Rosies Awfully Big Art Adventure Challenge.
The Elvis stamps were new and I hadnt used them so I was keen to try them out , and a shrine to the King seemed the perfect project for them. The music stamp I bought from Scrapbook Village where I go to crop on a tuesday night. (Its like an Aladdins cave in there ! )
Lace etc didnt seem right for a bloke so that part threw me a bit. I didnt find it easy to create the look that Rosie and Linda had , maybe I should have done something feminine instead.....too late now.

(T) Art Doll.....LOL

I dont think Ive ever posted this, Ages ago when Linda was making her art dolls, I was really busy with my Disney Scrapbook and didnt get to have a go.
However a little while later i tried, oh we laughed and laughed at my attempt....My daughter thought I had gone mad, Linda decided it was more like a TART DOLL, hehehe. Well I must try and get around to doing a proper one soon, but I quite like her now, although she is very different to Lindas amazing creations.
