Scrapbook Garden - Arrows Grab Bag
Hope you have all had a lovely weekend. Ive been working all weekend so havent seen much of it other than a computer screen, but nevermind.
I couldnt make my mind up how to use these 3 arrows from the 'Arrows Grab Bag' from the Scrapbook Garden.
I really wanted to combine the 3 arrows into one project but because one of them was slightly different to the other two I couldnt quite get my head around my design.
Then I remembered I had 3 box frames that needed updating with recent pictures of my grandchildren. The 2 smaller arrows were perfect for the girls and the larger one ideal for Joe.
I coloured them all individually with distress inks for the older 2 children and for the baby I used a pearl acrylic dabber then sprinkled it with glitter while it was still wet.
Emily's favourite colour is purple to I made this girly layout in various shades of purples , added her arrow and her name . I put foam pads under everything to try and give it a 3D effect as the box frames are quite deep so there was plenty of room to build up the layout.
Joes was easier, little cars and frogs along with a groovy caterpillar on a star gave this one a boyish feel to it with his arrow and his name. As the theme at Just for Fun is stars this week I would like to include Joes box frame in for that also.
Edies had a bit more detailed items in it. Little teddies, some rubber stamped images / quote , some flower brads her arrow and name. Again i used foam pads to give the feeling of depth in the box frame . I couldnt resist using the totally cute tag too....I am a little biased I know hehehe.
And thats about it, Im in the process of decorating now so when i am finished these 3 box frames will hang as a set. Im really pleased with them , and even more pleased that the little arrows have been part of such a fair sized project.
Thanks alot for stopping by my blog its much appriciated, hope you all have a lovely week.
