Scrapbook Garden , Layout and New Home Card
Ive made this New Home card and Vintage Layout using some Tando chipboard shapes for the Scrapbook Garden
They are fab to work with and look good whichever way I seem to colour them.
I thought I would have developed a favourite medium by now but I cant say that I have I love all the different looks you can achieve with them. Pop over to their online shop here and see the range,
I decided on my photo and gave it a double mat , using the whipped cream 12 x 12 and sea salt 12 x 12.
The photo is of my Grandmothers Aunt and her husband and one of her three children. They emigrated to Australia.
I used some distress inks to colour the tando butterflys and had great fun colouring them.
Then I added everything to the page, the title, butterflies, journaling, photo etc.
I used the 'Missing You' paper from the Botanical Gardens range. Its a lovely paper with a gorgeous border which set for making a very simple page which was very easy to put together.
I was pleased with the finished result. The photo doesnt do the butterflies justice they look like velvet in real life.
The 2nd thing I made was a New Home card using another 2 of those fab little Tando houses.
I really love these and I sure I will use them again.
I started by covering the houses with patturned paper. I used a checked paper for one and some corugated paper for the 2nd one.
I used some distress ink to rub on the edges of the checked one and all over on the corugated one to finish them off.
I added the words 'New Home' to my daffodil paper which I hope was going to look like a garden behind my houses.
Thats all for now, apologies for the long post.
Thanks for popping by my blog and I hope you all have a nice weekend, Happy Crafting.
Im going to be working until tuesday now so no more crafting for me until then.

Gorgeous work Jaqi and both so different! Have you got any embossing folders? That chippie embosses beautifully. This is the Tando site with alot of great ideas for using the chippie. XOXO Zoe
Hi Jaqi - I just LOVE those butterflies - I agree they do look like velvet! Thank you, Ann x
Great card Jaqi. Love the houses against the backdrop of the dafs. Your memory page is just fabulous. The wording with the photo is just perfect.
