The Scrapbook Garden - Gypsy Girl

This is my first layout for the Scrapbook Garden for this design kit.
The picture is my Mams cousin Amalia Augusta Douglas .
It was taken at one of her performances while she was on stage.
She doesnt look very old here , I dont know the date but I presume it
must have been early on in her stage performances.

Firstly take a look at these fab papers you can find them here
they are gorgeous and Ive been so pleased to have been working with them .

I chose some chipboard shapes from my stash amd covered them with one of the papers from the pack.

Next I cut out the title and inked it fown using some Vintage

Using some of the distress inks I used this rubber stamp.
You can find it here with some others
It gave a great clear image which i was really pleased with.

Once I had my chipboard pieces covered I decided
on how I was going to use the 6 x 6 patturned paper.
I used the American crafts cardstock in Coffee
This was a great contrast to the beautiful colourful paper.
After cutting my 6 x 6 and laying out the design
in the corners of the 12 x 12 I added some torn
Sheet music and a chipboard tag from my
stash with I used some distress ink and the
carrying on the musical theme as she is holding
a tamborine in her hand.

I added my title

And then the stamped flower discs

and a little few punched musical notes and my
journaling

And thats it, my Gypsy Girl page. Im pleased with it and Im sure Amalia would be pleased with
it too were she still with us. Pop over to the Scrapbook Garden and have a peep at all the goodies thats there , theres some great new products being added all of the time, so dont miss out on the bargains.

Have a lovely weekend , Im off to my Granddaughters Christening inbetween working and Im looking forward to it .

Thanks for stopping by my blog its much appriciated .

Hi Jaqi - thank you for creating this layout using another one of your now 'famous' photo collection. I think you have captured the spirit of this photo really well. Ann x

I think Amelia would be very pleased to see this. How lucky having had someone on the stage like this.
