Lots to Do - Monochrome
Hi Everyone, This is my entry for this weeks challenge at Lots to Do which is Monochrome.
This week I have chosen a photograph of my Dad when he was a young boy.
I may have to add some journaling at a later date as I didnt want to add the white paper from the type writer which i usually use.
From being a young boy my Dad (Eddie) loved breeding birds , budgies mainly and it was his hobby right up until he retired. So the Tim Holtz bird and birdcage die fit in really well with this page. I used a selection of corner cutters to finish off each section. I actually found it quite hard to use just the one colour , it was alot harder than i thought, but im pleased with the finished page.
I added an 'E' which is his initial and a quote which says' Thank you for making our time together so pleasent to remember' and he did. I have wonderful memories of my Dad.
I gave the page the title 'That Smile' as here he was only a young boy but when i look at that photo and that smile, its the same smile i remember looking down on me all of my life. My Dad was my best friend, hes been gone nearly 6 years , ( its next month actually) and I still miss him very much.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I hope you all have a fab weekend
